About Upwork Rankings

Upwork Rankings is a free, public leaderboard of the top-earning freelancers and agencies on Upwork, ranked by estimated Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR). It is built and maintained by GigRadar.

How MRR is estimated. MRR is a profile's trailing six-month public earnings divided by six. MRR is an estimate from Upwork's public figures — not an Upwork-official number.

Coverage. Agencies are swept broadly across Upwork's service categories. Freelancers are surfaced through tracked keywords, plus anyone added via the public “add your profile” flow — so the freelancer board grows over time rather than covering all of Upwork at once.

The percent-change badge and the per-profile MRR trend chart fill in as we accumulate monthly snapshots.
